Despite the lack of updates, Very Incredible Movie Theater 4 is not dead. Not by a long shot. Mike and I have worked too hard and too long on this thing to let it die. And I'm really proud of the stuff we've done. I'm also proud of our newly redone website. As you can see, we have a redone website. And it is beautiful.
I'm trying to find some new shorts for us to work on. Hopefully, you'll see some on the web soon.
Also, check out Death By Improv's new website as well, at deathbyimprov.com. DBI has several new members, including one particularly sexy one (hint hint it's me).
In the meantime, enjoy the reason the internet was invented:
VIMT4 returns to the live stage on June 25 at 8:00pm at Garden Friends, home of the Main Street Theater Company. Once again, we'll be opening for our good friends at Death by Improv. And this isn't just VIMT4's return...
It's a THEME show!
June 25: Very Incredible Movie Theater 4 presents Christmas In July In June: Based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire.Â
By the way, please add @VIMT4 on Twitter. I've deleted my personal Twitter account in order to get more use out of the VIMT4 twitter and to get the name out there. However, you can still follow Farley (@drummerisme) and Ashton Kutcher (@aplusk).
So we have a new video up on the YouTube channel: What Makes Us Tick, a 1952 animated short about how the stock exchange works. It's a two part video, because YouTube sucks and even director's accounts can no longer post videos longer than ten minutes, and I don't wanna put the videos on Dailymotion because really, who goes to Dailymotion?
Check the videos section to the right to see two new Christmas themed videos that we've been pouring our heart and souls into:
The first is A Visit to Santa. After a several month hiatus, Very Incredible Movie Theater 4 is back and in the holiday spirit with A Visit to Santa Claus! This short was produced as a promo for a department store in the 1600s. Dick and Ann are kidnapped by a truly upsetting young elf and transported via Black Hawk to Santa's impenetrable North Korean stronghold. Can they make it out with their sanity, or will this hellish nightmare induce a lifelong battle with PTSD? Sit in your favorite chair, grab an egg nog, and gather the whole family, while Santa tries to destroy all you hold dear! Merry Christmas!
Up next is an animated version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Rudolph, it turns out, is a pathetic emo kid with a glowing red nose, who cries and listens to Hawthorne Heights and writes dopey poems about how no one can understand him. Luckily, Santa's there to save him and give his life purpose shortly before he swallows sixteen Amoxicillan pills in a misguided cry for help.Â
Keep watching this space, as VIMT4 is starting to work on something a bit more...ambitious. Stay tuned!
